Introduction to embedded systems


Basic introduction to technologies, functions and design of embedded systems: Typical requirements, examples from product and production automation, introduction to microcontrollers, introduction to Logic Control with PLCs, device technology, and according tools.

Design processes and methodologies for embedded software: E.g., V-model, requirements engineering, functional vs. nonfunctional requirements, design and evaluation of architectures, model-based design, simulation (HIL/SIL), model-based testing.
